Star Trek Online Dilithium Farming 101.

Star Trek Online via XSplit Video for some dil farming. Just remember. you can only process 8000 dilithium at a time. keep an eye on your clock and test my theory of the twice a day 6-7 P.M. should let you do it again if they didnt patch it over. enjoy!

When you are done getting the gear you want in the Reputation system, you can convert the extra marks and devices into dilithium.  I like doing this with my Borg rep, getting 960 dil from an elite pve, then an extra 500 to 2000 when I convert the marks and devices I got with it. 
Another good dil source is turning in contraband to the starbase security officers, they will give you a duty officer assignment that gives you 2000 dil upon completion. :)

Doing 1 or 2 foundry missions, Doing the fleet mines, Doing Vlugta,  Doing the reputation Grind Battlefields drops dilithium too once you have maxed out your rep.   Doffing "Contraband Assignments" for Feds also drops dilithium.  Rotating between all of them easily will develop 8000 dilithium a day without getting bored.   There are Rich Dilithium passes that drop from lock boxes if you want to buy keys with ZEN which might be a little self defeating.  The "Tour The Galaxy Daily" at your spacedock will get you EC that could

Investigate Officer Reports, I believe that's the one where you do the player-made missions.  I remember a time when I could complete the 3-mission quota by clicking on a random plant in Spacedock.  It literally took less time than the mission selection process (the daily and the 3 custom missions). :P

Reaching level 5 in some of the faction rep systems you will get a reward of 50k dilithium ore from just reaching level 5 in most rep systems. The dyson sphere one you get 50 k Dilithium and a voth bridge officer. The Romulan Republic you get rewards for that in the form of the Reman speices for free so if you wanted to play as a Reman but play free to play you just need to reach level 50 with your FED or KDF character and get level 5 in Romulan Republic Rep system and you get it free. I haven't completed the Delta allaince rep system so I can't say what you get for reaching level 5 but the Undine counter task force you get a bunch of dilithium for reaching level 5 and I think also for the Nukara strike force as well.

Another way of getting Dilithium is to gather units of Contraband.  For 5 units of Contraband, you score 2000 units of dilithium.  It is a duty officer mission so it's no fuss no muss...

Hmmm ... at least this video was made less than a year ago.  I don't see anything about Nukara as a Dil farm.  It is a toxic (appropriate suit/armor required) ground game, but you can farm plenty of Dilithium in a few hours doing just the easy and medium rated games.  If you don't like ground war, then this isn't one for you, even though I don't think it could get all that much easier.  The daily processing limit is the biggest hold back if you love to do upgrades, or buy starships.  Also, if you find your ground gear isn't up to speed, don't worry about it. Learn how the map is set up, run to the objectives, do what is needed, die and repeat.  You do need to use the F key a lot to grab goodies and respawn, but that is only a minor inconvenience.  As you learn the map and what kind of ground gear works best, you will get more than one objective completed before it is time to respawn. A few weeks of this and you will develop your own strategy to get'er done before you need to respawn, or reload the missions. Most of the missions do have a cool off period before you can do it again, but with more than 500 Dil a pop, in often only takes a few hours to run up the daily refining limit.  I am sure there are other games for the same purpose.

Just do normal stf's on each character, of 3 each day and refine, mainly the omega mark one's and use the omega marks for dilithium then give it to one charcter

I hold on to marks for the weekend event. does should like alot but with only a few days running Dyson ground zone i have 8000 dyson marks. what 160 turn in for 500 dil which is 80, 000 dil or in event its 120, 000 for example.

Hello Rhoke, I play star trek online too I've just recently started and im at star fleet commander level I've gotten used to all the different things that you can do in the game, but I am having trouble with learning on how to use the dilithium exchange properly. there was other guys who explained it  here on you tube but I couldn't understand it. I was wondering if you could make another video explaining the dilithium exchange in a bit more detail and I little bit easier for me too understand.

Ok. I am confused. I'm a SWTOR player and 1/8 of the way form legendary status (I have two level 50 characters in that game at various chapters. In that MMORP, it's pretty user-friendly and easy to get the hang of. Not too many moving parts. I just started paying STO a couple days ago and I'm getting lost and confused by the complexity. Can someone help me with terminology? In TOR, we had a faction specific Fleet where we could partake in flashpoints (either solo or in group), pick up weekly heroic missions (requiring 2+ characters), and get gear depending on the currency. In TOR we also have crew skills and missions to get materials for crafting goods that can be used in PVP or traded. In STO, what are the "flashpoints?" What are the "heroic missions?" I don't mind playing the game fee to play, I'm about to give up on it due to the complexity.
