I think people buy these coins you are speaking of hoping that they will be worth something down the road. What usually happens is that so many of them crop up over time that they are more common than rare. They are cool to find but I would not pay multiple times face value to have them. Thank you for sharing!⚡️

some die chips may be valuable depending on the size and location on the coin's design, it's more like a cool factor that makes them valuable, most of them die chips are low value errors.

Values are determined by public auction. Other coin collector channels tell us all mint errors are valuable.

Good morning Daniel the only die chips I pay attention to are the ones I can actually see with out any magnification other than my glasses LoL

No coin talk today my friend. I know you are celebrating Father's Days. Coins will always be around Father's are to cherish not just today but everyday. When you look back who got you into the world of Numismatics? DAD DAD DAD. I wasn't so lucky I lost my Dad early in life. Just glad I had so many mentors in my life. To all keep your Dad close and if gone keep his memory bright in your mind. Coins are forever Dads are fleeting.

I don’t particularly search for these types of errors, but I will keep the cool ones for my collection! Worth money? Idk🤔. I’m more into collecting as a hobby…making money is a chore! Lol If I were to sell any of my collection I would prolly regret it! I LOVE all the items (coins, const.Silver, pours, silver bars ect) in my collection and wouldn’t part with most of it for NO amount of money!! Hunting errors and varieties many not make ya rich, but the treasure hunt is fun and when you finally find the one you were searching for it’s super exciting!! Kind of like when you finally fill ur Lincoln Cent book from 1909-1980! *hint *hint Mr V Rose. Lol 😉

Thanks for the grounding video. I'm new to hunting and I excite easy when I find something like this. I enjoy finding things though. It helps to hear this information so I don't have any false expectations when I find certain coins.

I have a large amount of coins, I ended up buying a microscope, and after checking the nickles I found out over 50 % them have errors, but the funny thing is that relaxes me .

I don’t buy them but if I happen across them while coin role hunting I keep them and put them in my “ oddities “ album which include toned and other coins, fun to find and collectible to me personally .

I found a "Drooling George" in my change. My questions about it were answered on CHU Community. Both your videos and the CHU Community are very helpful to me. I put the Drooling George in a flip and added it to my collection. I know it doesn't have any value, but I kept it anyway. I also found a 2019-W Lowell Nat. Park and a 2015-S Saratoga in circulation. Last week, I found a 2004-S Proof Lincoln cent. It was a little scratched up, but I kept it anyway. Thanks for the video.

Thanks Daniel ! Die chips are neat to find but I don't put value into them unless they are recognized by the experts. I just found a Sally Ride Q with George having a die chip on his mouth. Very common. If I do find (and I might have kept a couple over all these years) of interesting die chips, I put it in a 2x2 and make note the description along with NO VALUE, JUST NEAT. Probably out of every 10-20 coins, you could find a chip or something extremely minor..AND dont use an electron microscope to look at coins :)

Good Morning and Happy Father's Day, Daniel!🍵 It amazes me how many mistakes come out of the Mint! But when I think about how fast those presses operate, I guess it's no surprise!!

I agree Danial, I always thought I error coin was missing a date #, double strike, or missing the rim, big issues. The US Mint strikes 1, 000, 000's of coins yearly. Of course there's going to be nicks and scratches. Great video brother.

Still not sure the fascination with coin errors and double die other than 1955 penny etc. Just can't get excited at coins new in date and mintage. I'll take a 1888 PCGS MS64 rb indian cent vs the same value on a mint error coin graded PCGS on a 1988 penny. They minted 1988 coins in the billions.
