I am still looking for the Utopian plan of robots doing all the work and people having more time to actually live their lives and be able to afford to buy the goods that robots make.

Instead, all I see the dystopia of people being thrown onto the scrap heap, not enough people in actual work paying taxes needed to pay the benefits of those out of work or for the public services society needs which is already happening.
A greedy society that seeks to profit from a lack of morality which is destroying the very planet that sustains us.

But don`t worry, when robots are capable of doing the peasants work the rich will no longer need the peasants. Able to afford to adapt to climate change the peasants can starve as droughts and floods wreck the crops and push food prices beyond the reach of many.

Although robots and AI have a use in our society, there will always be those who take it further than it should go for their own selfish ends.

not really but keep dreaming. AI and robot are not the only ones taking jobs, machine learning is as well and adapts quicker than humans. we now live in a world where AI beat us at chess, create classical music and knows what we might want in the future before we do. i am a teacher with a computer science degree, used to be in the army, speak 4 languages travelled far and constantly and that might not be enough in the coming years, this time really is different, because machine can take up soon 90% of all existing jobs(type of work) in the world

just curious. how is a robot gonna replace a pest control worker. don't think society will approve a machine driving a 40 thousand pound semi truck with hazardous materials down a freeway around people in cars with families, especially when we already have videos of tesla running red lights and hitting people. we're going to need to restructure everything before that happen. maybe in 100 years but not this lifetime
