This is a beta version of YouTube Create, and we’re bringing it to creators now so we can listen to your feedback as we improve the app and add more features over time. The YouTube Create App is currently available on Android in the United States, France, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, India, United Kingdom, and Indonesia, with iOS availability coming in 2024. *FAQs:*
*Q: How does the app handle clips that don't fit the chosen aspect ratio?*
A: Videos with other aspect ratios will be imported into one of our three supported aspect ratios: 16x9, 9x16, or 1x1. You can then scale, crop, or move the video within the canvas. You can adjust which aspect ratio suits your content best by adjusting the aspect ratio under the 3-dot menu in the upper right hand corner of the app and selecting either 16x9, 9x16, or 1x1.

*Q: What resolutions or frame rates does YouTube Create support?*
A: You can import videos of any resolution or frame rate into YouTube Create. When you’re ready to export your video, you can select either standard (720p) or high (1080p) resolutions. The final product will be exported in 30fps.

*Q: Is there a limit to how long videos can be in order to use YouTube Create, or can you edit videos of any length in the app?*
A: You can edit videos of any length in the app!

*Q: Are there plans to expand YouTube Create to iOS and desktop/web?*
A: We plan to expand to iOS in 2024, but we don’t have plans to expand to desktop/web at this time as YouTube Create is built specifically for mobile-first creation.

I have been editing videos for 3 years now. I tried it out, it is definitely a step in the right direction since it will help so many creators develop basic editing skills and give them a standard place to start. It has everything you need to make a decent video with the added bonus of direct access to yt audio library and auto generated captions in english, hindi and spanish. This means more creators being able to make videos without the extra steps of looking for copyrightfree music and downloading + importing it into the editing app, as well as helping more people easily create videos that are accessible to hearing impaired viewers.

There is no keyframe or chromakey feature (which seems fair, most beginners would not be using it) and I am slightly iffy about the cutout effect but overall, youtube team nailed this!! Great work, proud to be on this platform :)

As a new creator, I'm excited about this app, and can't wait until it's available for iPhones/iPads. I literally need this app like yesterday, to ensure that I'm doing everything right....I ONLY use Apple devices, so I'm sad that it hasn't been released for us to use yet. With how complex and inaccessible video editing has been historically, it’s nice to see that YouTube is taking steps to make editing free and available for anyone on mobile. This is a very simple editing suite for sure, but it looks like a good starting editor for anyone who’s curious about making videos, but can’t justify paying huge sums of money for Premiere, Final Cut, or VEGAS. I do hope YouTube makes a desktop version of this app eventually, which would allow them to add a wider range of editing features and make the transition to the more common editing suites easier for new creators, but for now, mobile’s a great start
