Bold subject matter that is what makes you so great! The evolution of these “ Men Health Clinics” have grown to hopefully evade some of the embarrassment to your regular Doctor (especially if she may look like Ms America lol) Great subject matter Dr Jen!

I had a female doctor once that I said I was worried about getting Ed the funny thing is and she said that you should never feel ashamed or worried about telling your doctor something she told me if a doctor runs his or her clinic on his religious beliefs or her political beliefs then they do not belong to be a doctor

hey doctor,

first of all, i loved the video. very informative.

second, i am 27 years old and a year ago (literally overnight) I showed symptoms of ED and never really recovered since then. I am having less frequent morning wood. Before, I woule wake up to morning wood every single day and now it is very rare I wake up to morning wood. I do however have an anxiety disorder...so I am having trouble knowing if it is psychological or physical. Would lack of morning wood be indicative of physical issues like excessive alcohol (which I sadly partake in)? Or is my anxiety also causing less morning wood?

I think it should be recognized that most men will A, never ask for help with this issue, and B, many many more would never ask a female about this. So by the time a man walks into a female doctor's office, he has already passed a half dozen cultural filters about shame and masculinity, just to be there. I respect this man greatly. But it is a very filtered and small population and doctors need to understand that many more men don't come to the office as opposed to those who do. There is absolutely no way a female can understand the deep-rooted shame and embarrassment a man goes through when this happens. They can understand it theoretically, but can't truly understand it or grasp the lived experience. It's not their fault, it's just that men live an entirely different experience on the same planet as women. Male and female cultures are greatly different. Societal expectations are different. Women can never understand a man's sense of masculinity and all that goes into it. Just not possible. Again not their fault.

Any suggestions for ED following Prostectomy. I’ve tried 0:06 Viagra and Cialis with no results. I’m aware of the possibility of little nerve sparing during the surgery. Just need another opinion and suggestion for this frustrating problem.

I’m not a diabetic ! I’ve been on thyroid and migraine meds for years. ! I’ve never smoked Or only drink maybe once a week

Although I can see in this video that it comes from a good place, I don't think it is generally a good idea to tell someone to "not feel embarrassed". It is not something one can control and it is easier said than done. A sense of embarrassment is comprised of myriad factors including culture, age, health, self-esteem, worldview, trauma, history, and experience. Telling someone to simply "don't feel embarrassed" is asking the impossible in almost every case.
