I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when punk band ANGRY SAMOANS, in the early 80s, used a famous still from MOPB on the cover of their album. Fit the music perfectly!

Cool story, will have to look for that book. I was lucky enough to meet Jeannie back in 2006 when I was in Vegas, she was appearing at a small burlesque event there, she was lovely and still very beautiful and elegant.

Photo reproductions of the Monster of Pietrss Blancas featured in many magazines like Famous Monsters and other, more gore friendly publications. These pictures sparked my interest in seeing the film, which didn't happen until many years later. Somehow it never got shown in local television markets where I grew up. I had no wait until the video/DVD era to finally see it- it did NOT disappoint. Now I consider it one of the monochrome gems of the era you're covering right now. I never understood modern horror fans who won't watch black n white. One night in the 80s I attended a a midnight screening of Night Of The Living Dead and couldn't believe my eyes when half the audience got up and walked out of the film. Ugg.. The mentality of some people is really depressing.

i think i did see this one but i do not not remember what i thought of it to be honest Jeannie Carmen had more of an interesting life than the film! anyways they did that? i didn't know the details but yeah man it is fucked up and the i agree what you said at the end as well
