I explain why sticking with Jeff Albert and firing Mike Shildt was the wrong move for the Cardinals

The manager should pick all of his coaches. Period.

Didn't Katie Woo say the players like Jeff Albert though? Because I'm pretty sure it's been reported that players like him.

Mike should have been kept and the hitting coach should have been replaced. This is a BIG MISTAKE.

Never heard the most awful misuse of the words conspiracy theory. And Yadi never uttered the word "shocked" if anything he was pretty passive about it all lol

You are absolutely right. They made a huge mistake and I think many of the fans feel the same way. Every player they brought up from the minors, after Jeff Albert got his hands on them, each year their offense has gone down hill. And if he was so hot why did his former team let him go. Shildt was a great manager.

You are full of it! You assume a lot that the team is unhappy with Shildt being let go. You don't know that. In fact you don't be know much. A bunch of palaver!

I would like to hear Yadi and Waino's side of what happened. I don't trust Mo or Dewitt as far as I can throw them

You don't know how to hit he's not an instructor

I agree with 100 percent of what you just said....and I'm mad about this whole move as well. The top brass took a big hit on my respect level on this one.

Yep, the offense was the problem. But they seem intent on believing in saber metrics.

Makes perfect sense to let Arenado walk. After this year he'll be on the backside of his prime and nowhere near worth Max money anymore. The money could be better spent on a younger elite player ...

a year later, the cards did alright. Oli is a fine manager.

I am not convinced that Schildt is a good manager. Lets face it, we made the wild card because of an improbable win streak and the Cubs, Mets, Philles, Reds and S.D. shit the bed in the last month. Until the streak, the cardinals were 2 games over .500 and had a 5% chance of making the playoffs. Having said that, the front office is horrible and is not, REPEAT NOT!, trying to make this team better. So is it Mozeliak or is Schildt? I would give Schildt the benefit of the doubt right now because we already know how Mozeliak wants to manage the team from the front office.

Jeff Albert never made it past independent league baseball and he is our hitting coach? Good grief

I love the Cardinal team but the front office is in the cellar as far as I’m concerned.

I’m willing to bet he didn’t want to put Reyes in because he had been bad lately. Mozeliak because of anylitics wanted him in and they probably had a huge argument after the loss

Listen to me because I play fantasy league baseball. I know what I’m talking about. Lol. I’m glad you know so much of what’s going on behind closed doors.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but to me your fos. You have no idea about Arenado or feelings in clubhouse. Like to know where you live and how many Cardinal games you go to a year. What do you invest as a fan besides watching on TV?

As long as Mo remains committed to Albert, it won’t matter who is managing the team. The offense will continue to be inconsistent.

The Cardinals have NOT done shit since Larrusa and Jocketty years. Mo is an average GM at best. I agree with everything you say here. I GUARANTEE that this team will SUCK next year under Marmol, you watch, I will be right.
