ball is made out of rubber and inner hard plastic, had bad experience with this, one of those rubber ball (bottom) cracked and a huge chunk of it fell off when riding, good thing the whole arm didn't detach from the broken ball, only had it for just a month.

Had to look up this video just to find out how to connect the pivot with e.g. my Pro Mount…turn the ball and suddenly the included screw has a use! 😂
