BMW 3 series review | The 3 series is back but is it the best?

This 7th generation of the 3 series has got to get things right. Rear wheel drive, 50/50 distribution, plenty of power. All things that you take as a given in a BMW with a 330i badge. This one comes with a 2.0 petrol engine though so there's no silky smooth straight six engine note but is it missed?

How about a 330e next? Test the EV range on the M50 busy/non, EV range around the city centre and try both on hybrid mode.

I had a 3 series for years and recently got the current shape 5 series (a 2017 one ) for more room, but as you said nobby the 3 series is a better car to fling around. I like the 5 series but it seems like a barge to me and will definitely go back to this shape 3 as soon as I can

Bought a G21 320d X Drive Touring M Sport plus pack in from the UK, no idea what the VRT will be, cause no one else has brought one in. Love the adaptive suspension. Had a 530d X Drive previously on 20's and couldn't live with it on our crappy roads, and license also at risk. Honestly think that 530d is only suited to Germany and places where you can exploit the power. Over here 6 cylinder was asleep 90% of the time and only woke up at silly speeds. Actually more enjoyable driving a 320D on Irish roads. Chassis is far better in the 320d and X drive means it's on rails, and really great to drive on the twisty stuff.
