A lot of the glitchy tricks with Sonic in this game are cool because apart from the ones that involve clipping and no collision, they look like Sonic is just going really fast and the camera can't quite keep up. Fits the character.

SEGA need to make a Sonic Heroes 2. Regardless of the reception the 1st game had, you have to admit it was charming.

Now this is one that’s caught my interest. Was my first sonic game and I loved the team mechanic, so much potential for more teams. Does a great job of having a bunch of playable characters and keeping the sonic feel near always present cos you can always switch to him. The sonic boom games surprisingly do that really well too

This was one of the reasons I loved Sonic Heroes' slippery and janky physics. I used to skip bits of a stage using some of these Sonic tricks, but I never knew about the Light Speed with Accel Cancel combo, wow!

Beating the game with Sonic only: You got pretty far but you need the others.
Beating the game without Sonic: Don't try this bro.

Sonic heroes was the first video game I ever played on a home console when I was 6 and I still love it to this day

As a kid I found out (in the tutorial stage since beating that without switching was a goal of mine back then) about that UABK thingy, obviously not the name or anything.
My own personal challenge ended with Casino Park (although I don't remember knowing about that other trick, so I'm now doubting whether I did beat ocean palace or not) and that glass, I remember spending a whole afternoon (after school) just jumping and flopping and team attacking to no avail. Makes me happy to know it actually was possible now all these years down the track.
