How to Immigrate and work in South Korea as a Doctor? Requirements, Application Process

If a foreign doctor holds a Korean medical license, he or she may treat patients in Korea. They need to have a doctorate from their country of origin, as well as a medical degree from a Korean medical college. By taking the KMLE in Korea, they are eligible to take the Korea Medical Licensing Examination (KMLE).

School systems, curriculums, and academic affairs are evaluated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare when selecting medical colleges. In total, 96 foreign medical colleges from 26 countries are approved by the board.

My advice for those foreigners that would like to try it, is forget about it. I will not say is impossible because there have been cases but they either grew up here or lived for a long period. For real foreigners (not gyopos or Koreans that study abroad) is almost like going to space. The couple students that passes the KMLE that you see every year are from koreans that coundn't get into medical schools here and went abroad. Without native korean language skills is almost impossible to even pass the first test to try the test lol.
