Pakistan: Government minister reacts to arrest and protests that were 'not peaceful'

Imran Khan has been released from custody after Pakistan's Supreme Court ruled that his arrest was illegal, with his detainment sparking countrywide violence which left at least eight people dead.

The former prime minister is set to spend the night at a police guest house for his protection but will be allowed to meet with a limited number of friends and family.

He is one of the only leaders who has CONSISTENTLY promoted the obedience to the Rule of Law and it’s implementation. His whole political life has been devoted to the struggle to establish justice for ALL people in Pakistan as opposed to the current system where the country’s powerful elite are above the law!
Please people of the world, don’t take what comes out in the form of statements and interviews from the current government ( largely made up of convicted/ indicted criminals) as well as the army elite, as the gospel truth without properly investigating the context, background as well as hearing the other side.
The majority of people of Pakistan are not stupid to support Imran Khan for no good reason in the current set of circumstances!!
