Fun Fact: Pursuing the requirements to be a Commissioned Security Officer in the state of Texas qualifies someone to work as a Police Officer in Louisiana.
I know two CSO's from Texas who went to NOLA for a disaster relief aid and while there they got a job offer to laterally transfer to the Parish Police there, all they had to do was go get a psych eval (at the time, Texas didnt yet require CSO to get evals, now they do) and then take a couple weeks of remedial training. Within 2 months, they went from being armed private security in Texas, to uniformed Parish Police Officers on patrol in NOLA.
Not quite sure if that says more about the training standards of Texas Security or the requirements of Louisiana Police...you be the judge.

I'd like to correct that SWAT officer. He is 17, he is NOT legally an adult but you can still treat him like one on a search or arrest warrant.
