A hit with farmers! How much can pepper boost your income?

Over 2,000 farmers participated in a training session aimed at boosting their income through pepper cultivation. The session was organized by Cauvery Calling - an initiative of the Save Soil movement that aims to revitalize River Cauvery, the lifeline for 84 million people in southern India. The objectives of the training session were to raise awareness about the potential of pepper farming and to provide practical guidance. Successful farmers showcased their methods, while experts from the Indian Institute of Spices Research, a constituent body of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, explained crop varieties, growth strategies, value addition, and marketing techniques.
