1) It's that heavy because it's weighted down by it's massive awesomeness.

Those pull-away cables were a godsend. Like when your dog runs through the room, right through the controller cables and rips the console off the entertainment stand and onto the tile floor....

Never happened with Xbox...

“That adapter thing” is a break away cable, so when you pull really hard on it, it breaks away instead of pulling the console off the table
