8. Where is the prophecy 'He shall be called a Nazarene'? #shorts

Although Jesus was born in Bethlehem, he grew up in Nazareth in fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. Matthew 2:23 "And he went and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that what was spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled, 'He shall be called a Nazarene.'" The only problem is–there is no Old Testament prophecy about Jesus coming from Nazareth.

Nazareth is never mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. In fact, it's not mentioned in the writings of Josephus, or in the Talmud either. The only place it appears at all, apparently, is in the New Testament. The first non-biblical reference is by Sextus Julius Africanus in AD 221 or possibly the early church father Origen between AD 185 and 254, and then by Eusebius a hundred years later.
