I just started my first IT job as a repair tech. It's TOTALLY entry-level, but I love it because I don't have to answer phones or deal with customers. I've spent the majority of my career working in call centers, and I'm trying my damnedest not to go back to that environment. Do you have any advice on which area of advancement that I should focus on that will keep me as far as from call center work as possible?
