I rather like the show. I admit that a lot of the ideas and concepts are crazy, but there is a good one here and there. Thanks to the show my wife and I have started to lightly prep, and it saved out lives last winter. We were snowed in and without power for a few days. It was the light prepping we did that helped us get through.

Actually bugs would suffice if you raise enough of them. Compared to live stock bugs are easy to grow/maintain and a relatively short time compared to conventional animals used as livestock. Not only is it a good source of good, but it's better for the environment than say raising cows or pigs.
Rationally we would be better off eating insects as they are more nutritious, but I doubt very many of us are going to start our own bug farms or even be willing to attempt to eat a bug..

I don't think they're insane. If you look at the current state of the world than you see that we are sitting on the largest peace time accumulation of debt ever. And I'm afraid that this can only end in one way and that's war.

It's STUNNING how no one no this show has been raising insects to survive.. Chicken/Cows and shit but no bugs?! WTF they are easy to raise and yield more nutrition with minimal effort/feed. I guess a lot of us probably rather starve than eat bugs? lol. But meal worms don't look too bad if you fry them..
