Hidden 7.2.5 Change - We Can FINALLY Solo Hellfire Citadel!

After quite some time, Blizzard have finally patched Hellfire Citadel to make Gorefiend soloable. Today I go through Hellfire Citadel heroic and cover how to solo most of the bosses within.

Zakuun is a bit of a bummer for the non hunters/warlocks, but overall you'll be able to get most of the mog stuff that you want regardless of class.

If you get road block, just complete Kadgar's quest that lets you teleport different tiers. I solo farmed, skipping roadblocks everything i needed from normal mode months ago.

Really good News ! I was ablo So solo all boss (stuck on gorefiend ofc) including Mythic With My DK frost 916ilvl..everytime need call' friends. Its really a dps Check but around august where every one Will have 4 T20 It Will be really easier. I recommend To be atleast 900ilvl With 45lvl artifact weapon, for H preferable 907-908 with 52lvl weapon And for M 912-915 its really really tought(not worth spend 5-6 hours try To kill some difficult bosses In this raid).

Can approve, if you are anywhere around item level 900+ you are gonna have a great experience and nice challenge without it being completely impossible, that includes pure DPS classes without self healing abilities.

Anything below item level 900 can be a hassle as there are few bosses that use specific mechanics you would need to deal with, but once you reach higher ilvl you will have fun. It is amazing what can 20 ilvls do in a case of difference of how difficult it is.

For Heroics always be sure to expect it to be harder ain range of 10 to 15 ilvls, as for mythic, that is a whole new level as the bosses have 3 times the health as usual if i am correct ( depending on the bosses, some just simply have more mechanics to deal with ) regardless its always fun to test your skills and its a good challenge all together.

There is something amazing about being able to solo something that not even year back you were still struggling with a whole guild x D

For DHs you could use, to be easier, the Demonic Build 3313333. Also if you have the legendary helmet and a legendary for self heal as the chest or a prydaz.

What about the Target Dummy Engineering item for Zakuun? That usually works if you suddenly need two targets. And at that point I guess it just becomes a dps race, with lower requirements if you can summon any sort of pets temporarily or if you can stealth somehow (shadowmeld perhaps).

But Iskar doesn't DO the Phantasmal Winds during his transitions, just the fire beams and giant split beam.
If your dps is enough, you should never see them as far as I know, though I'm not sure how much dps it would require on Heroic and Mythic, as iirc I'd simply skipped them on Normal many months ago. The orb will have to be picked up to reset its pulsing room damage though, as it is effectively the same as the DOT, so it will still be a dps race, though you can delay the orb pickup.
Glad to hear about Gorefiend though, he's the one my Warlock couldn't handle.

Tried this tonight with my brother in law, we got to gorefiend on Mythic on a 120 ret pally and a 120 blood dk, and he kept swallowing us, and resetting

With 1.68m dps, the fight lasted 26s and the boss died before casting his reset mechanic. No pet needed. Can also out dps Archimond's phase 3 reset if you save your cds for when Grommash runs away.

I know this video is about 7.2.5 but in 7.3 on 915 ilevel shadow priest you can solo the entire raid on 10man normal. The trickiest for me was Tyrant and on Zakuun you just have to be sure you heal yourself up when he puts the healing absorb shield on you. Which was easily done with a few shadow mends.

I was able to solo that Fel Lord no problem on my Feral.. and no, it didn't involve doing anything tricky with prowl mid-fight or anything like that. It looks like Soul Cleave was fixed!

Just a quick info: HFC IS infact soloable, due to stealth-hotfixes on Soul Cleave. It DOESNT reset anymore, so GO for it!!! :P
