This is so true and we were once taught in school how posture, dress, hygiene, grammar, and even hand writing opens or closes the doors we will approach throughout our lives.

I don’t agree with him on a lot of things, but I really appreciate him spreading this message. Education is not your enemy, it’s your salvation.

I can attest to this. I got a degree in Liberal Arts (19th century Russian poetry of all things). When I later went to work as a software engineer, I rapidly made my way up the ladder because I could write simply and clearly for management of all levels (including CEOs/CIOs/CFOs of multi-billion dollar organizations), which other programmers/technicians could not do.

The goal of education for the wealthy wasn’t primarily to train them to be useful and provide any value to society. The goal of their education was to provide credentials for membership in a rigid class structure. In the modern world, if education is to be freely available to everyone and not only upper classes, then the purpose of education cannot be to reinforce class divisions, so the focus must shift to prioritizing teaching practical skills. With higher degrees becoming more accessible, having a degree can no longer be used to justify one’s status while being useless and unskilled.

The issue is that modern day liberal arts curriculum has nothing to do with what people in the past studied when they studied liberal arts.

Liberal arts back in the day was like learning math.

If this is the goal, today’s colleges are woefully underserving their students.

If your not doing something with your heart ♥️ your not being real honest or authentic.

Sound is much older than language itself in nature-evolution.

The purpose of art it’s from the soul
