M + P: Mitt Romney's Choir Boy, Kid Rock

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan campaign with Kid Rock and his song "Born Free". Douglas Caballero asks: Does Kid Rock's music and lifestyle fly in the face of the socially conservative GOP platform? Has Kid Rock reformed? Or is this all just hypocrisy by the Republicans? It's ironic, at best.

You nailed it at the end. Kid Rock needs something to revive his comatose career and Romney needs a "hip" spokesman to appeal to clueless college-aged voters.

On behalf of Michigan, I apologize profusely for Kid Rock and Ted Nugent. I bow my head in shame.

You mean the M + P at the start of the title didn't give it away?

When you played "Welcome to the Party", I imagined Mitt Romney dressed like Will Ferrell when he was a pimp named Gator in "The Other Guys". I don't know why.

Why is everyone hating on M + P? I personally like it, keep up the good work!

Born Free, and then a couple decades later, can you still say you are?
And if you want a fugged up kid rock song, try yoddling in the valley.
"Spent the night at sally's house, woke up with cotten mouth, couldn't speak, my tongue was weak, from yoddlin in the valley!"

Born free ... to ride a motorcycle without wearing a helmet.

That's just plain funny. Any day of the week, Mittens would have anyone that looked like Kid Rock arrested for walking past his mansion.

"Kid Rock" should change his name to "Middle Age Rock".

The title of this video should be "Kid Rock?"

Once I was having a semi-serious discussion about modern music. I pointed out that Beethoven, Mozart, etc. are still very popular after centuries and asked...

"Which of today's musicians or even which songs will still be popular centuries from now?"

"The Beatles!" good answer.

"What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, excellent answer.

"Kidd Rock!" WTF??? Who invited you???

I find paul ryan claiming to like Rage against the Machine more ironic personally

The irony for the fact that if it was a rapper for the other side all hell would break loose.

Justin Bieber is on record that he is going to vote OBAMA... And so am I!

I've seen M + P before but when I saw it written in this description I just assumed it was referring to Mitt (Romney) + Paul (Ryan).
It is first thing in the morning for me!

Maybe Kid Rock will perform his hit song, "F**k Off", at the GOP convention.

Of course he gave you more debt. The deficit adds to the debt. The deficit was left by Bush and is a result of Bush's term. Obama has reduced the deficit but unfortunately until it is removed it will add to the national debt every year.

It's impossible to keep every promise you make, especially when the opposition in the senate filibuster every single bill that you attempt to pass. You can only promise to try.

Bieber is Canadian and he cannot vote in our Presidential election. He might have said "if he could vote, he would vote for Obama, " but he cannot vote.

It is all about the MONEY LEBOWSKI. Kid Rock is not a sellout, he is a buy-in. He is an adequate musician, and he is cashing in on it.

I've never understood the popularity of Kid Rock.
