I played Rocket League version 1.0 to see what’s changed over the years. I honestly thought this version of the game was super fun and Rocket League could take notes on what went right the first time.

if anyone didnt know, if you are on the "press any button to continue" screen with the big Rocket League title at the top, you can actually press "up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, enter (or whatever the equivalent of enter is on controller)" and it will bring up the original SARPBC title and play the original SARPBC song. its pretty cool and nostalgic if you played the original version. it also used to give you a free moai antenna, but it doesnt anymore.

i actually remember playing this on my PS3, looks exactly like i remember. i had no clue this was rocket league, i only assumed it was but was never sure. fuck i’m old.

SARPBC looks like there was real passion behind it.

Rocket League is great, but it feels more like polish than passion.

The map in match 1 ist actually utopial colosseum. Its the same map, we are used to, but if you fly out of the new map, you can see a circus. The colosseum. You basically played the real utopia colosseum map concept

The tutorial in rpbc is more advanced because rpbc was a car game with a bunch of minigames, soccar being one of them. This game mode was so popular that it was later developed into the game we now play today, rocket league.

I fr still have a PS3 and I still play SARPBC sometimes. It is decent but you do need to buy it to get the full game.
