5 Tips to overcoming stage fright/performance anxiety in music |TBT Trumpet Masterclass #8
I received a question today about performance anxiety/stage fright.
I suffered from it HEAVILY years ago😬
Thought I would address the exact things I did to overcome my performance anxiety during my undergrad. Give you some tips and advice.

6 Tips (not in order):
It’s definitely a mind game.
1. Have to be honest with yourself…are you really practicing enough or efficiently?
2. Stop comparing yourself to your peers. Admire from afar. Take a break from social media if someone else’s skills frustrate you instead of motivate you.
3. Be objective in how you critique yourself (call it for what it is without a negative label)
4. Reverse engineer the symptoms you get when you get nervous and create similar feelings during your practice
5. ??
