spanish guy here: I don't reccomend Seville because it's the hottest place in summer in the whole country. Dangerously hot.
Also, if you choose a city from the north like Bilbao, note that it's 90% of the time cloudy or raining, it can be depressing if you are not used to it.

How could the speaker not have first learned how to pronounce the city names correctly? Makes an otherwise nice video seem farcical.

We live near Ile de France & are going to move to Almeria for the retirement nexy year! Many French move to Valencia, Barcelona & Malaga to run their own business or for the retirement. We don't like big city, therefore, we choose Almeria!

Honestly, to not even mention the many wonderful retirement cities in Galicia and Asturias is a disservice to everyone. Your list flawed.

You may want to double check your historical sources about Catalonia and Barcelona during the Roman period. They both were part of what was initially called Hispania Citerior, and later Hispania Tarraconensis, a province which included the whole vast western part of the Iberian peninsula. “Catalonia” was not an independent community whatsoever, just like Madrid was not one either. They both were part of the same Roman province -Hispania Citerior.

1:22 The mountains of WHAT? "Csidiz"??? Oh... you mean: Cádiz? It's pronounced [ˈkaðiθ]. Surely in primary school they taught you: "C" before "A" is pronounced as "K". And guess what? When there is an accent in Spanish, it literally means: stress that syllable. So it's "KADizzzz", not "kaDIZZZ". 🙂 Your pronunciation is perhaps not so "parfait" (perfect) after all?
