Like you I have a G7 and I've been considering Fuji, but I think I'll go the Sony road too.

i really like the Sony cameras. We shot two shorts in France with the Sony A7s. Both came out great. The only problem the DP had on one of the films was that it would overheat and shut down after ten minutes. He was using a separate 4K drive to record into (I forget the name) and it didn't help that we were in full sun, on a 90+ F day, on a soccer field. I believe you made a great choice!
