49.00 to airport, 29 minutes, they make half, that’s 24.50 for half hour, I gave 7.00 tip, that’s 31.50 for 29 minutes work, that’s with tip is 63.00 an hr, but sometimes they wait for a call, that’s business, I don’t get any roofing jobs for at least five months a year, as with them, don’t drive my vehicle or pay for gas, I’ll get my neighbor kid to drive me for 25 bucks, and the government won’t get any taxes, this is not about fair prices for drivers, this is about government making BIG ER tax income

1.40 a mile is still alot cheaper than 2.25 a mile the taxi was getting.

Rule of life: If you have one job to do which is drive, you are somehow the worst driver everywhere you go.

Did the council ever meet with Lyft & Uber and discuss how to get more pay for these drivers ( who deserve a good wage ) & what kind of negative effect will it have on the people who rely on these services for a ride. AND When will this disgraceful city council hire the legal number of police officers required by the cities charter ? And why did they vote against hiring more officers and pay incentives for the existing officers ? These men and women put their lives on the line everyday and some anti cop council members think that a Lyft and an Uber drivers pay is more important. The Metro rail & bus service is far from being a safe mode of transportation. Minneapolis is NOT a safe place to go to. Crime in the city of Minneapolis is out of control. You have a lot of good police officers that need your support. Stop turning your back on them. Not all police officers are bad. The police officers and the citizens of Minneapolis deserve better. Some of these council members need to get their head out of their butt.

Let's see if these corrupt companies that manipulate algorithms to their liking leave Minneapolis. The government should audit them to ensure they're presenting accurate numbers, solely for the sake of transparency after so many issues.

Uber used to do an 80/20 split. What is the cut now?

At least the Uber drivers can fall back on their charity scams and government benefits to thrive on. Meanwhile the rest of us work real jobs to pay the taxes that feeds their luxury.
