dude that's the best when you push yourself to your absolute max and make it back without fainting or worst off not making it at all. i know how good it feels!

That’s a feeling I love/hate. That’s why I did triathlon. I hope to get back to it one day and do a full Ironman (I did a half three years ago). Right now MTB works better with having a family. One tip— if you’re going to do a hard effort like that and then hop in the car to go home, you might want to get some compression socks or sleeves to prevent blood clots in your legs.

Very nice! I live in Dallas and started following your channel when you lived there. I come from California and definitely miss these types of all day epic climb rides which as you know don't exist in Dallas. This video brought back floods of memories of knowing exactly how you felt each step of the way. The great thing is after this, going back to your 'normal' trails you may have found difficult, and going ezpz!

Also I was expecting like 2 minutes of just black screen after you said 'time to put away the camera'. 😁😁

i kid i kid, i did the double at Soquel demo forest (Flow and Braile) so thats 5500ft of climbing trails to do those two downhills alone, but i turned the wrong way on the return road (supposed to be 4miles, ended up 6 miles) out of water, out of snacks, still another 1500 ft of climbing, no creeks, my shoes and socks soaked w/ sweat and sand...i was so done...beer and pizza never tasted so good that night! cant wait to do again!

Nice film work, quality production. Did you get any footage dropping down into casino lake? That’s some gnarly trail there. You're right, the rocks down big casino are relentless. I do this trail on my KTM and I would like to try going up Big Casino. Some serious drop off shelf’s to figure out how to get up on.

Nice documentary. Glad you were able to get through this ride and bring home some nice footage for us :-) I'm here in Stanley for the summer and will be setting out for this loop at some point. Not quite sure if I can get up there yet because the snow level is approximately $8, 300 ft. I may attempt Foundry Creek Trail up to Martin Creek and see how snow level is and decide if I want to make the loop around to Williams Creek 1st.

Nice ride. Congrats. Since I got an ebike, I can ride almost every day. My typical ride is now 3.5 to 4.5 hours and 4000 to 5000 feet of climbing. Loving every minute of it. The love techy stuff even more now.

I just did a ride yesterday that pushed me past my limit, not near the elevation you had. 26.37 miles with just under 2100 ft 98°/heat index of 105°. Last time I did a ride like that, I was almost half my age. I literally bonked twice.

i've done this one - I can confirm that it's gnarly

I ride vicariously with your vids, as you know in North Texas at this time, it's too hot to breathe. Keep up the good work!

Are there any open sections that would be good for drone footage on the route? Or any others in the area? I've already got Imperial Gulch and Osberg Ridge.

Nice ride. Tough ride. Looks like you bonked a few times. I am guessing there was no shuttle option to take you near or to the top.

This was awesome. I have been to that point on a few rides.

What are you eating/drinking on your rides? After dialing in my on-ride nutrition amount/timing, I feel a lot better at the end of long(er) rides. Still tired, but not so close to bonk. Honey Stingers and Skratch Labs for me.
