DIY BMW R Nine T Full Service | Valve Clearance, Oil Change, Spark Plugs & More!
Hey everyone, R2 here – back after a long break! In this video, I take you through a full DIY service of my 2019 BMW R Nine T. After realizing the air filter hadn’t been changed in 6 years, I decided to tackle the maintenance myself — and save some serious money.
💬 What’s covered in this video: ✔️ Valve clearance inspection
✔️ Engine oil & filter change
✔️ Gearbox & final drive oil replacement
✔️ Spark plug replacement (4 plugs!)
✔️ Air filter change
✔️ Full tool & parts breakdown
✔️ Lessons learned (including mistakes & small regrets)
Whether you own a BMW R Nine T or just want to learn how to service your own motorcycle, this video walks you through the process step by step — including all the tools, parts, and the real cost of doing it yourself.
🛠️ Tools & parts list included below!
📦 No sponsorships or affiliate links — just genuine recommendations.
💸 Total DIY cost: ~€350
💸 Dealer estimate: €600+

I also share a few honest mistakes I made (including scratching the valve covers and spilling gearbox oil everywhere) — and how I fixed them. If you're thinking of doing your own motorcycle maintenance, this is the video for you.
🏍️ Bike runs perfectly now, and I’ve got a road trip coming up soon — with more videos on the way! Subscribe to follow the journey.
