This documentary is about the life of the famous traveler and humanist scientist Nikolay Miklouho-
Maclay. It tells about his family, childhood and youth, personal development, expeditions, including the most significant one to Papua New Guinea, research and its significance for world science and humanity.
Together with the narrator you will walk through the most important places and discover little-known facts of the traveler's biography. You will learn about his childhood and youth, his first love, why he spent some time in the Peter and Paul fortress and the reasons why he went to the most dangerous island of that time - New Guinea. You will also learn about how his work is being carried out nowadays, get acquainted with the descendant and full namesake of the scientist, Nickolay Miklouho-Maclay Jr.
The documentary "The Life and Travels of Miklouho-Maclay" will be of interest to the widest audience, to all viewers who love history and travel and who have a thirst for traveling and new knowledge.
