Chloe Nomade Eau de Parfum Review
Показать описание
Are you familiar with fragrances from Chloe? Stay with me while I review the latest creation, The Chloe Nomade Eau de Parfum.
Hi and welcome back to Ellie smells. I do get asked quite a lot about Chloe fragrances and Who is Chloe? A lot of older ladies associate Chloe with the popular fragrance in the 70's.
The Brand itself was founded in 1952 in Paris, by the Egyptian designer Gaby Aghion. She really wanted to make high fashion more accessible, more convenient and more affordable. She was a pioneer of Pret-a-port (ready to wear) instead of the pricy Made to Measure, Haute Couture. People were able to buy her garments off the Peg.
Chloe released their first perfume in 1975 called Chloe (the one the older ladies remember). Then in 2008, they released the Chloe Signature which is the one most people are familiar with, in the small square bottle, floral and rosy.
Latest release the Chloe Nomade EDP released March/April 2018. The bottle was inspired by the Chloe Drew handbag. This is a horseshoe-shaped bag worn over the shoulder or across-body, the interior has a suede lining and polished gold accessories. The bottle has the same polished gold stopper and also a thin suede almost tassel. The juice inside the bottle is a light peach/pink. It's quite easy to hold and spray.
Onto the fragrance itself. The Creator is Quentin Bische, who has created fragrances for Jean Paul Gaultier, Azzaro and Mugler. This is described as a Floral Chypre. The inspiration behind the Nomade is to evoke the bold, adventurous free spirit in a woman, to do what she wants, wherever it takes her.
When I spray this I am reminded of another Chloe, the See by Chloe. On the first spray, you are invited into a delicious orchard, fresh and wonderfully fruity. In the Top notes are Mirabelle Plum, Lemon, Bergamot and Orange. Zesty, citric and quite sweet as the perfume opens.
As it starts to develop and settle, the subtle notes of the floral Heart of Freesia, sweet Jasmine, Rose and juicy Peach come into play. The citric top notes soften completely and the Heart Notes start to warm and deepen the essence, I'm especially picking up on the Peach. Soft, warm and feminine so far.
The Base Notes really warm on the skin, quite woodsy and earthy. The Base contains Oakmoss, Patchouli, White Musk, SandalWood and Amberwood. A really earthy depth to the scent, slightly talcy, soft florals and warmth with a slight sweetness from the Plum and Peach.
Overall an elegant, classy, feminine fragrance with light juicy nuances of ripe fruit.
I think that this would be a good fragrance for ladies who wear the Chanel Mademoiselle EDP, Bottega Venetta, Alien, Si by Armani, Guerlain Mon or other Chypre/ floral woody perfumes. One for the ladies who like their fragrance to be long-lasting or who like a heavier essence, well worth going and having a spray or two.
Myself, I have been pleasantly surprised by the Nomade and how it differs from the Chloe Signature which I said was more of a floral, fresh rose Bouquet. This is a unique essence, more complex and mysterious.
I think if you are looking for a slightly unique fragrance for a special occassion or a wedding perhaps, this would be a great choice.
So Please go in store and try this on your skin. Let me know your thoughts on which of the Chloe fragrances you like most? It's always lovely to read the comments and how we all differ to what we find attractive and what smells good on our skin.
I Have been wearing this fragrance now for several hours and on complete dry down the scent is still warm and I smell the woods, but very little floral left. Still peach reminding me a little of Mitsouko by Guerlain.
That's all for now on Ellie Smells, I'll see you next time. Take care for now, Bye xx
