The Pretty Cure series; or PreCure for short, is a magical girl anime franchise created by Izumi Todo in 2004 and produced by Asahi Broadcasting Corporation and Toei Animation Co., Ltd., and each series revolves around a group of girls who were granted special items that allow them to transform into legendary warriors known as Pretty Cures, in which they use their powers and enhanced strength to fight against evil forces who create monsters to bring misery to the Earth.

To the strands of "Heroes Live Forever" by Vanessa Amorosi, the Australian teen pop singer who performed this song exactly on this very day - 15 September 2000 - during the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympics, Archive Sounds commemorates the Pretty Cure series' 20th anniversary and the release of "PreCure All Stars F" in Japan with a musical tribute that highlighted what makes the Pretty Cure themselves; in spite of living in their ordinary youth, the heroes of today's generation and this current millennium.
