Okay so here is a quick summary for the poem, “THE TREES”

The present poem is an imaginary. It depicts the condition of women through trees inside the house. The poetess expresses the conflict between man and nature. She also presents that plants and trees are mostly used for interior decoration in the cities while forests are cut down. In this way they are imprisoned. Man is responsible for the degradation of nature. Man uses nature for his own benefit without thinking of its result. The present poem creates a message that if there are no trees, there is no safety for animals, birds, insects and even humans. The poetess images the that the trees are in the house and they struggle to have full growth and freedom without any boundation of walls. The same way women struggle to come out of house for having freedom and pleasure.
In this way we find that the departure of the forest from house denotes the sense of value of freedom. Inside the boundary of wall he women are as silent as trees but important change comes unexpectedly. As morning comes smiling after the end of night, the same way sorrowful life converts into joyful life without making question.

Theme of the poem -the poem highlights the struggle of woman who make a mark in the outside world. The trees are moving out of the house symbolising women folk moving out of their houses into society.
Imaginary tone-the imaginary is charged with action and the tone is almost battleground like the trees are rising like calling, heroes
Short summary — the trees in the house want to break the walls of the house and move to the forest. The poem reflects how women want to be free of the walls of social restrictions. Men have put around them. They want to move and participate in the society. ❤ this is the poem

The Tree
In this poem the trees poetess Adrienne Rich subtly drives home the message about the importance of trees.
Without trees birds would not have place to sit, insect would not have place to hide, Sun would not bury it's feet in shadow.
We enjoyed the beauty of plant as they are on our surrounding.
But slowly the trees spread its root stem branches yearn to go outside where it can live and grow without any restrictions.
No more does the trees look attractive indoors.
The trees however welcomed into nature by strong winds and the moon.
The author here by emphasized that the trees need to be kept alive, but should not be 'imprisoned' inside the house as they look more beautiful, and tend to thrive outdoors- that is where trees belongs too.
