One of the final Jeopardy that Matt Amodio and Amy Schneider that end of the streak. Let’s hope Issac will keep the streak going as we had few episodes until new season approaches which is until July 25. Is too bad that Season 40 have way too many tournament starting with Second Chance, Champion Wildcard, TOC 2024 and Invitational Tournaments and Jeopardy Masters 2024.

I went for Brazil because it is a Portuguese-speaking country known for the Amazon River.

My guess for this Final Jeopardy Clue would have been 1 of the following 3.
1: Nigeria
2: Gambia
3: Mozambique

Yeah, I thought about that correct answer, but I didn’t associate the country with Portuguese, so I was wrong

That's why I like Jeopardy. If I don't know, like today, I get to learn something new.

Tbh when I saw Portuguese in the clue, I was thinking Brazil as well. 😂

This one got me. Turns out the fall of the USSR was a total red herring for 1991

Jennings pronounced the capital wrong. The a in Lagos is like the a in lake.

It was interrupted by Bidens press conference, but thank you YouTube for picking it up.

classic 'didn't listen to the question' moment 😂. thought they were asking about countries with name changes, went for rep of congo, which used to be zaire. wrong for a multitude of reasons....it was the democratic republic of congo that was zaire, the name change was 1998 and it wasn't a portuguese colony it was belgian, but zaire does relate to the river 😂

My fifth grade teacher was from Nigeria.

I have no idea how I got that. I didn't consciously know it but it popped in.

I knew it was Lagos, but didn't know of what country it was th capital.

Well... helps to know Lagos is by far the biggest city in Nigeria, although not the capital.

When it comes to basic knowledge of countries of the world, Nigeria should be pretty high on the list. Not only is it on the top 10 list of most populous countries, about 1 of every 6 Africans lives in Nigeria.
