People saying he isn’t talented are crazy. You cannot do what he does without being 1) intelligent enough to read plays and position oneself properly, 2) technically proficient enough to tackle and play a wide range of passes and 3) be physical enough to win balls and run all game. That’s more than enough talent. Kante could not do what Hazard did but that did not make Kante any less talented. Conor cannot do what Enzo does but that doesn’t make him any worse of a player.

When lampard was promoting academy talents. I remember checking the players watching videos and reading their achievements. Reece and Gallagher stood out for sure. They both won the best academy player of the year in 17/18 & 18/19 respectively. I knew we had Gems in our hand.

The biggest thing about Gallagher is how he wins possession in the final third so often. Chelsea still struggle to break teams down who sit back and defend, our best chances come from winning posession in the final third when the other team is about to counter.
Until we can reliably break team defenses down Gallagher is pretty crucial IMO
