Diy Wind Turbine Generator

Can a permanent magnet DC motor be used as a DIY wind turbine? In this experiment, I test whether a simple permanent magnet DC motor can generate usable electricity when powered by the wind! Could this be a cheap way to harness wind power at home? Watch till the end for surprising results! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe if you love DIY renewable energy projects!

You've reinvented the Dynamotor. It has been used before for military radio equipment that needed high voltage AC in the field, when Vacuum Tubes were the king of RF power.

Wow! Its great to see such a real time practical experiment. I actually learned how to use the motor speed meter. I didn't even know it is called a tachometer.

Thanks for the video.

Can you suggest any good motors that has less torque, produce power at low rpm and can be used as s wind turbine generator

Posiblemente si se puede, pero del lado mecánico necesitas unas aspas muy grandes para vencer el torque de una caja reductora a la inversa para poder obtener rpm muy altas. Saludos

I have lots of these motors from cheap scooters. I have 3of them in a Triangle formation driving a center hub.
Not sure how much it pulls but it does produce power

i tried a geared ratio 1 to 7 to use less watts to produce more watts. it has not worked yet but getting close. so i can charge at night.

Hello everyone! This was meant to be nothing but a fun weekend experiment solely inspired by my life long curiosity and the joy of playing with all things electronics and I recorded the experiment so I can share it with you guys. If you are able to find some useful information or maybe some weekend entertainment from watching the video, that would be awesome!

The video is not perfect as there were some bloopers.
However, please feel free to share your constructive feedback us.

Thanks a lot for watching. We appreciate all your support.

Respectfully,
-The Innovation Lab.
