Bella got the help she needed just in time! She had been loved and cared for since she was a kitten, but when her owner fell on hard times, Bella was left outside through a harsh winter. Her fur became severely matted, and she developed painful ulcers in her mouth.
A kind neighbor—who had also helped our senior rescue cat, Patches—told us about the situation. When we arrived to pick up Patches, we realized Bella had nowhere to go and needed urgent help. Her owner, unable to take her to a new home, had spent weeks searching for a rescue, but every group was full. The local SPCA could only take in cats with severe injuries, leaving Bella and two other adult cats, PJ and Tootles, without options. (Update on them coming soon!)
Thankfully, we were able to step in just in time. Her human had to move out that day. Bella was seen by a vet today, and she’s now on the road to recovery. We are so grateful that WujiKitty could be here for her when she needed it most. Every rescue is a reminder of why we do this—to give cats like Bella a second chance at love and care.
