Michael Jackson - Best Of Joy (80s Mix)

Показать описание
"Who wants mortality? Everybody wants immortality. You want what you create to live! Be it sculpting, painting, music, composition. That is why to escape death I attempt to bind my soul to my work because I just want it to live forever and just give all that I have." 1958 - ♾️
The original version of “Best Of Joy” was leaked by American producer Eulonzo on June 25th, 2020. It was unknown this version existed.
Although fans are familiar with the final version that was released on the posthumous album “Michael” in 2010, it has been revealed that “Best Of Joy” (originally titled "Forever") was originally written & recorded as far back as 1985. This version, along with the original versions of Stranger In Moscow, Scream, etc were some of many songs he had been working on during the early-mid 80s that were shelved.
Despite the rumors of it being written about Diana Ross, it is believed the song was about his brothers. This was written shortly after the “Victory” Tour had ended. Right before he started recording the music for Captain EO, he met up with Quincy Jones at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California. They had recorded the Thriller album at that same studio. By late 1985, the song was finished. But like the original version of Stranger In Moscow, it was shelved.
Over 20 years later, Michael came back to the song in early 2009 as he was preparing for rehearsals for the “This Is It” Tour. While keeping the lyrics as they were, he re-recorded new vocals as well as new production from Theron “Neff-U” Feemstar. It was one of the last songs Michael worked on before his passing. He had planned to unveil the new version while in London for the O2 arena shows in the summer of 2009. Sony ended up putting the new version onto the “Michael” album that was released in December of 2010.
