Tracey's little girl Ruby was diagnosed with a neuroblastoma tumour, and myoclonus, a rare condition linked to an overactive immune system that attacks healthy cells. After six rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, there's still no guarantee that Ruby's cancer won't come back.

Thanks to improvements in treatment methods that research has made possible, Ruby received the best care available and survived her terrible ordeal. But the truth is, despite tremendous progress, we're still losing too many children to these terrible diseases.

Your gift today will help us continue to collaborate internationally on neuroblastoma research and support the work of Dr Andy Moore and other doctors at the Queensland Children's Medical Research Institute (QCMRI) and the children's Tumour Bank.

"The Tumour Bank makes tumour samples available to researchers around the world, giving them a better understanding of the underlying causes of childhood cancer.

This improves ways of diagnosing and treating cancer and helps identify patients into different risk and treatment groups. So the Tumour Bank is extremely important."
