I would like to say thank you for making this video. Out of the videos I have watched, this has been the best since it was very clear and concise. I love also how you took your time in taking off the back cover. That made me prepare in advance and not rush things and break it. Cheers!

7:58 The foam pads are only for the mechanical HDD. M.2 drives do not need foam pads as they do not contain mechanical parts inside. Take note on this. I installed the two pads you mentioned at said timestamp for a 1TB HDD on my unit.

Thank you for making such a helpful video. I could avoid breaking the plastic locks... may be this is the very first device that I could open without breaking any of the locks... ;) This became possible only with your detailed video. I also liked your honest comment that you broke one yourself... that made me extra cautious!

Thanks again!!! Full credit goes to you!

I love how it has a second m.2 drive slot, but it doesn't come with the screw necessary to mount it.

Hey bro i have to give a tip there is a option in bios called servicing mode It will cutoff electricity from whole laptop parts and it will be activate when you plug charger in again so no need to remove battery jack.😅

You should open it in the opposite end. You start near the hinge. it is much easier.

I might be totally wrong about this but I think smooth is somewhat wrong you can totally use both the drives the computer comes w and the sata drive you just have to make sure the cable is in all the way and when you turn the computer back in just initialize it and format it but he may be talking about something completely different when he says you can’t use both at the same time

For people who have the RTX 3060 gpu, your board will be slightly different. You can install an additional full size gen3 m2 ssd right next to the existing one.

Very nice and informative video. Two points: will the warranty of my new laptop will be void if I add the second sata 2.5” ssd and second my observation - the padding you put on the drive was primarily given for mechanical drives HDD as they have the moving drive but may not be required for ssd. Thanks
