I was one year off on the cupholder redesign. As I mentioned, the New Edge update/refresh occurred in ‘99 but the cupholder redesign actually occurred in ‘98.😬

Call it a quirk if you want, I LIKE my hood’s prop rod. I had two Firebirds with heavy hoods, and piston supports that wore out. A prop rod may be old-fashioned and somewhat awkward, but it will never wear out.

The rear seats is for insurance. Makes it cheaper than a 2 seater like a Vette

My biggest quirk i cant stand is the dang seat belts.. not retracting, getting twisted..hanging up..
My channel is based on my 97gt and i have a similar video.

My daughter had a 96 GT and it had BBK shorty headers and Flowmaster exhaust. I am a Camaro guy but that car was really fun to drive

I like prop-rods. Less $ than gas struts.

A 99-04 Mustang GT is on my wishlist. I know people say it sucks but I still want one since I was a teen

Just turned 29- thousand miles on my 1996 Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible.
Mine is black with the saddle leather interior.
Driver seat has hairline cracks in the leather but overall it still smells like a new car inside. The carpeting in the car still looks brand new along with the headlights. I think your car still looks great and you’ve done a good job on the interior and the paint. Took it out yesterday for a long ride in the country and the car still has the original hoses spark plug wires.
I paid 12-K for the car and I was offered 18-K for the car. I’m gonna keep it drive it and enjoy it along with my 2010 Camaro RS -SS .

Remember the older cars had the high beam switch on the floor

My favorite quirk is that the trunk button is in the glove box, at least it is on the 1998

I bought a 1996 Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible. 21 Thousand original miles. Paid 12 -K for the car. Locks drives and smells like a brand new car. Car was garage kept. Your car looks great 👍. It’s amazing how many miles you have on your car and it still runs great

That fuel cutoff switch is a really good safety feature. I got rear ended one time and when I went to start the car it wouldn't turn over. One of the cops came over and told me to pop the trunk and check to see if the cutoff switch activated. It did. I hit the button amd the car was able to turn over . I thought that was pretty neat.
