Looking at The Electric State, I am not at all confident they haven't trashed this opportunity to make a generational classic and instead created another Marvel-esk, Transformer disaster. That would be an absolute slap in Simon Stålenhags face and his brilliant work. The trailer doesn't give off the right vibe.

The biggest problem with Ballerina is not the «strong female character». There are plenty of action movies with credible female action character. Alien and Halloween franchises, La Femme Nikita, Kill Bill and so on. The biggest difference is that all of those movies were original stories, while Hollywood seems to take already established action franchise and just re-cast them with female roles and expect people to go see it. It’s as lazy as it gets. I’m sure most men wouldn’t mind a good, original action movie with female protagonist. Just not this type of recycled garbage.

When I see those intros/trailers, I am just wondering if hollywood is capable of making some truly artistic, nice movies which deserve to be called a classic? Those above are just effects, computer design, SGI/THX tricks with little or no acting at all. This is really, really sad :(

I wonder if I'll ever look forward to a movie again? I had a lot of hope for the Capt. America movie, like the Falcon as the new Cap, but this just looks like everything that's come before and with a lot less oomph.
