Djokovic won 195 points in this match and Nadal won 191, just four points of difference, the last four points... What a match

One of those “it’s a shame someone had to lose” matches.

This has to be the best Wimbledon match since the 2008 final. Masterclass ball striking: powerful across the court, precise down the line, unpredictable drop shots, perfect lobs, thrilling net encounters. Kudos to the Wimbledon channel for this wonderful compilation!

It was the best wimbledon SF ever! Congratulations to Rafa, who played very well, but Novak is a mental giant. They are both winners!

Nole and Rafa have 2 of greatest grand slam semi finals of all time(RG 2013 and Wimbledon 2018) and both were basically finals

One of the best matches in the history of Wimbledon.. better than 2019 Fed-Novak final in terms of quality and shot making. I just couldn't believe Djoker won even after Nadal playing almost flawlessly! This match decided the fate of 2018 year ending race between them.. literally the beginning is the end and the end is the beginning :)

This was Nole's rebirth match after a critical period. Never seen such a beautiful and spectacular semifinal, at least since I resumed following tennis (2013). A heartfelt thanks to both tennis players, even though I was rooting for Novak.

I am a Djokovic fan and for me this is one of the best match ever. They were both playing amazing. It is just as good as 2008 final maybe even better quality wise.

This has to be the match that marked Nole's comeback, right?

Match of 2018! That's the match that saved and reignited Novak's career. Personally, I really would love for Rafa to win this match.

Nadal was absolutely devastating in 4th set, never seen him play this good on grass. He was raining winners with his brutal forehands, even Djokovic was clueless.

It's crazy to think about how these two playing against each other have one of the greatest matches ever in a tournament, in almost all tournaments: AO2012 final, IW 2011 and Miami 2011 finals, their 2009 madrid semi (was considered the greatest clay court match until RG13), Monte Carlo 2009 final (Not the best, but arguably a top 5. The greatest best-of-3 match at least), regarding Rome they probably have like all the top 5 matches since they've met 9 times and they've won the title 16 times together (Nadal has won 10, Djokovic 6. Both have been in 12 finals each, but different years since 2004. Not one year was the final without Djokovic or Nadal since 2003 which is absolutely ridiculous), RG2013 easily the greatest clay court match of all time, might be a top 5 match ever in tennis, their Wimbledon 2018semi, their USO2011 final (for some reason I feel USO hasn't had as legendary matches as other tournaments. So this match isn't as good as many others, but still one of the greatest in USO. I'd only say Djokovic-Federer semi of 2010/2011 were quite better, a couple others could be argued for), Canada their 2013 semi, and several great matches in the ATP Finals (I dont think their matches there have been outstanding, but I feel the ATP Finals generally lacks classics/legendary matches in general, but it could be because we get saturated of only seeing the best play each other, so there's a guarantee of the highest level of tennis).

Federer is my #1 favourite, Rafa is #2. But what Djokovic did to win those 2 extraordinary epics in 2018 and 2019 really puts forward the case that he is going to be called the GOAT when all is said and done. Djokovic can take so much punishment and come back to win, both in individual points and in matches.
