I grew up in the South and back in my day you were expected to know how to fish and hunt, gather Berry's and mushrooms so we're good on that as long as every Bob and Steve isn't out there too.

I have to physically search for this channel every late night live. It doesn’t show up on my feed anymore

Great video learned this back in boy scouts but good tutorial.. I lost my mini farm in 2010 in my last divorce.. However after finally finding a good Southern girl God has blessed me with a new mini farm in Gods country with deer, turkey, and creek / beaver pond on our property plus like minded niehbors and hunting club full of friends all within 5 miles.... When the SHTF better be away from large cities and towns and be self sufecient and able to keep the have nots from taking whats yours...

Having trapping skills is an essential part of preparing. Don’t forget that everyone should also own a Ruger 10/22 or similar .22 caliber rifle with tons of ammunition. The rifle and ammo are super cheap and will provide you endless small prey for consumption. Stay Frosty everyone.

9 days until squirrel season... I'm soooòo ready for some fried up.. some in cream of mushroom.. some I'm gonna jar..
Been feeding em all summer.. got the table for one set up ..if you know what I mean .. got my blind set up.. 6 a day bag limit..
I know, though, this'll be a serious video... I'm super super amped for squirrel season.. it's my absolute favorite hunting season.. the leaves are changing, and the air is getting crisp at night . The silence and the rustling of the leaves.. omg yes

Live in south western Nebraska. What wildlife to eat. The other day was the first 5 point I have saw since 1979. There used to be endless Pronghorns. They went extinct. In the 1800's. Its said. There are Elk north west of here. I have never seen one. Then. People are moving into town none stop to live from out of state. They didn't do their research. I doing my best to get out of here. I would like to eat.

Also consider placing the bait on and in the dirt at the base of the trigger stick. That forces the animal to dig or be more aggressive with the trigger.

Imagine a much larger scale trap with salt in the dirt... Here comes Bambi😱

Thanks for the refresher. It's been about 40 plus years since I had to do this.

Get yourself in a position where you don’t need to shop for food.
Grow your own, hunt, fish, canning, etc.

I live on a farm, I’m not worried about feeding myself. I’m worried about the city rats that come to take what’s mine.

Feeding my animals will be much harder than feeding the family!

I’ve been trying to get my uncle to go deer hunting with me bc neither of had ever been. Now I’m never going to be an avid hunter but I want to know how to field dress & process one bc it’s damn important. I’ve hit him up for the last 3yrs & last Christmas when we were all together I asked him when we are going, he said he had gotten one last year & was done. He had already sold his bolt action & gave me his tree stand & all the rest of the gear. Luckily I have a guy at work that said I could come with him & his brother this year 🙏

Squirrel and venison will be my choice. Got abundance of both at my cabin in the middle of the woods.
