Thank you for your sharing. I often wondered where the cash lane is. I guessed its always on the extreme left haha. The system is similar in Malaysia.👍

Really helpful videos! If you can make videos about driving on local road area and necessary rules that will be really nice... because I have seen many times everyone driving always over the defined speed limits on the local road....

Visiting Japan for the second time now in April. This time we're going on a roadtrip from Fukuoka up to Osaka. As a german I was shocked how slow the traffic laws are in japan😅 But I am still suuper excited!!

Hi, thank you for your video it was very informative, May i ask if you will need snow tyres when driving from Fujikawaguchiko to Takayama between the 10th to 13th of November 2024. Your advise would be very appreciated. We will be driving the whole way during our holidays.

Very useful indeed. I did self driving in Japan, as a tourist, some ten years ago, and will be doing this again in coming May. I've heard that some gas stations in Japan are now self-serving. Is this the case and are there anything special that we've to pay attention to so as to ensure proper refueling?

So the ETC is very similar to EZ Pass in the US. We however do not have these toll booths AT the entrance and exit. In fact they for the most part dont exist in my state.

Oh wow, I’ve been driving around 120-130km all the time as I supposed that’s the limit 😂 speed limits in Japan are in general really low 😅

I wonder with the highway, lets say your driving to tokyo to osaka, do you pay the full 20000 yen or whatever at the fringes or even in osaka, or is it randomly split between a few towns or ic near towns

Pro tip: you better know exactly where you're going because if you get lost and need to get off the highway to turn around...the exits are many kilometers apart and you will have to pay the toll again.

Can we enter any highway written ‘ETC only’ without having an ETC card?
