I have been asked this question many times, Are Filipinas really as shy as many make out or is it all an act to endear a foreign man so he will fall more easily in love with her.
If one is to believe that a Filipina acting shy to get her man so to speak, then that would mean Filipinas who do this are quite devious and calculating, right?
Anyone who sits and watches Filipina interacting with their friends just walking along or in a shopping mall will see that they certainly don’t appear to be very shy as they will be chatting and laughing with each other and appear quite outgoing. The same can be said watching a Filipina interact with her Family where any shyness you thought she had will disappear especially if any sort of arguments break out with the Filipina and her family. She can go from shy and sweet to Godzilla in 2 seconds.

And I guess these sorts of observations by many foreign men lead them to wonder if Filipinas are really shy by nature. One such commenter on a recent video ask the question, If Filipinas are so shy why in the Philippines are teenage Filipinas giving birth on average every 12 minutes? Well I am unsure if that statistic he quoted is true or not, but it certainly is true that Teenage pregnancy is an issue in many Countries including the Philippines. So, a fair question he asks.

In reality Filipinas are like any other women around the world in a sense that not all are the same. This is Common sense really as you can never put all people I one category. While some Filipinas may be naturally shy with everyone, others may not. I believe more traditional Filipinas maybe somewhat reserved until they get to know a person. No matter if it’s a foreigner or a Filipino person. Many people by nature are rather reserved until they feel comfortable around a person or group of people. This is why you see Filipinas in groups dancing, singing and laughing having fun together, because they know each other very well and feel very comfortable around them.

Good Vlog. Shy doesn't always mean the same thing to a Filipina as it does to a western man. She can and often does mean embarrassed or embarrassing. We often think of it as when a young girl around boys for the first time she won't talk because she is shy. It is often close in meaning but not always the same. I have heard them say, I wouldn't dress like that because I am too shy too. She could say because I would be embarrassed

Even many pinoys as well as pinays are shy if they are dealing with foreigners and from the provinces when meeting for the first time. When they get to know you well they are just as crazy as with everyone else.

Good post. I believe that the best indicator of what a woman is and will be like long term is her mother. Her mother is her role model, and though she may be putting on an act, it is likely that her mother is not. A good indicator of how she will treat her man long term is what her father is like, women worldwide have daddy issues that follows them their whole lives. If he abandoned them, that creates mental pathologies too.

There not as shy as thay make out that's part of the act thay all say that there certainly not shy when it comes to the date turning up with lots of family and friends expecting the foreigner to pay for everything in my opinion that's the opposite to being shy can you just imagine ourselves doing that, I think a lot of that comes from foreigners that try to paint a picture of the Philippines, look at the population of the Philippines I know thay don't have birth control and abortion there's more young teenage girls that are single mothers in the Philippines than there is in any other country kids born out of wedlock, great video Pete thanks for sharing.

I prefer the shy, sweet type of filipinas that warm to you as they become more comfortable, than the many assertive, loud, arrogant, combative western women. It's like one big power struggle dating most western women, and some filipinas as well. Hahahaha 01:30 especially when dealing with her misbehaving cats
