George Lynch, the legendary hard rock/metal guitarist who has been part of the ESP artist family since the 1980s, is here to go over the fine details of his latest LTD Signature Series guitar, the GL Desert Eagle. The guitar is a re-imagining of his famous Kamikaze model, and features an alder body and maple neck with bolt-on construction at 25.5” scale. Other features include George’s original U-shaped neck, a Macassar ebony fingerboard with 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, a Floyd Rose 1000 SE double-locking tremolo with stainless steel screws, a special low-friction volume pot, and a special pickup combination that includes a Seymour Duncan '78 pickup in the bridge and an ESP LS-120 single-coil in the neck position. This guitar is also available in a handcrafted version built one at a time by the ESP Custom Shop in Japan with the ESP GL Desert Eagle.

George is going to be 70 in September… 70!! And he looks and sounds fantastic. One of, if not the most air guitar worthy sound and feel that ever graced the strings. Thank you for being you George!

Met George and spoke with him for a while, quite a few years ago now. He was very humble and gracious.

I have an ESP Custom shop Kamikaze from Japan, took a while to find it. That full maple body just sings out. Alder is good too.

George is my #1 guitar influencer. People love my vibrato, and I always say, "It's not mine, it's Lynch's." I tried not to copy everything from him, but that vibrato, I had to learn. I had the LTD Skull & Snakes for years and sadly, I had to let it go. Great guitar, and great memories.

I am 58 now. I am a loyal fan of George's since Summer of 1984. I saw George a few dozen times with Dokken and on his own. Monster's of Rock in Philly was superb!

I always had hoped for another Tony MacAlpine type of thing with say King Edward, Kendall, Demartini and Lynch since they all knew each other and got along from my understanding. Nice dream of mine but I at least saw each of fav 1980s Rock guitarists.

Be well George and thank you for so many smiles when I hear or see you play.

😊

I have a 1996 ESP Kami, and I love it to death ....with the exception of having to yank the neck off the guitar for any truss rod adjustments. I'm glad the Desert Eagle has easy access to the truss rod.
