An informational video on how to import a JDM car to Australia (namely South Australia but applies to all states).

I'm currently making a video review on the GRS184 Toyota Crown Athlete, stay tuned for it (or import one yourself and drive it).

Good video. What’s the deal with tyres? Why the heck do you need new tyres ? If it’s a used car can’t you assume there’ll be at least some tread? Or are the tread depth regulations in Japan not as strict?

Hi
I am planning to get a JDM unit from an importer in Melbourne transferred to Perth. It should come with ROVER approval and compliance documents and also the RAV entry approval. Will you able to guide what would I need here in WA once it lands here to get it registered? Trying to learn the process and be confident before I can make a decision to get an imported JDM unit from Melbourne. Your input will be highly appreciated?

Thanks mate for your informative video. Is there any compliance list to let us know which kind of cars are allowed to be imported to Australia (in terms of model, type, production year)? I have a broker in Japan who can buy cars for me. Is it mandatory to import a car through a import broker? Can I apply to be an importer broker?

Nice video thanks. So am I correct in assuming cars which aren’t allowed under SEVS will be allowed once they’re older than 25 years? Also if they replace battery/ tires are you allowed to keep the old ones?

Hey Matt, you know by any chance roughly how much comprehensive and third party insurance would be. For example how much would a 2009 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI A LINE AWD 5D 4WD be for insurance. Danke!

The higher price at auction, the more you pay on custom duty " gst " lct " stamp duty not gst tax you pay

Looking at the gov website it says you need to apply for an approval to import a vehicle through ROVER. Did you have to do this first or does this come up after hiring a broker? I'm in SA.

Hi Matt. May I know some info about Adelaide compliance workshop. Where should I go or where I should not go. All those info about auction sheets are not trustworthy also made me a bit worried. Any tips? Cheers

Do you need an import licence? What are some examples of things that could require you to actually need to use that extra $2k on top?
