It’s possible ETH’s future will be as a store of value as a secure base layer. Rather than trying to become faster, and be all encompassing. Overtime the layers 2/3 may be seamless to the user, with better UX and ETH being at the core. Maybe ETH is being misunderstood for where it will eventually sit in the cryptosphere, like when everyone complained BTC could never be a currency and now ultimately sits comfortably with everyone as a store of value. Just a thought 🤷‍♂️

Either i am stupid or nothing can scale right now in crypto and they are trying to keep some projects over water with all those useless layers. Crypto is looking more and more complex and centralized with all these. No retail ever is going to use technology like this. We need something scalable, decentralized and SIMPLE

As you mentioned Layer 3 has more challenges I think 30% chance to capture a healthy chunk of the market. Because it is ultimately built on Layer 2 it is very complicated and confusing.

I think when we are talking about L2s and even more for L3s ETH decentralisation and security should not be mentioned. L2s and L3s do not inherit those features.
