it's 24 hours since I begun the process and I am finally finished, thank you very much. It'd be IMPOSSIBLE to do without your help! The link to the battery that you provide, doesn't come with any tools actually needed for this job. It took me so long because I should have watched before starting, as I didn't have the tiny screwdriver for accessing the unaccessible screws. May JBL burn in consumer hell for making it so difficult! Thank you Tino for your help!

Thank you for a great tutorial. I have been repairing stuff like this for 40+ years, but without your help this one would have been very difficult to do without breaking a clip. Really appreciate that you show the entire reassembly including wire colors and connector orientation. Very helpful, especially for beginners.

Side note. At 21:30 you mention that the blue side of the plugs have to face upwards. For me it was the other way around. Luckily I made a picture of the motherboard before pulling everything.

And by the way, it's ridiculous that JBL makes you go through all this trouble just to change the battery😑

At present I have a repair seemingly same with your item doing. But they differ in the speaker bass reflector. The item I have is more difficult to remove. Thankful for your guiding video. Thanks buddy...

Excellent video! At 34:20 you mentioned that the battery indicator LED's were not working. After I replaced the battery and reassembled the boombox per your instructions, my battery indicator LED's and the indoor/outdoor switch lights were not working either. I took it back apart on the right side and flipped the 2 ribbon cables on the bottom right side of the mother board over and all was good! Otherwise, thank you for making this video!

This video was perfect, thank you Tino. I took my time and replaced the battery and it's back:) FYI, the screw driver that came with my battery was not small enough for the 3 screws way back attaching the mother board. Ended up by a $6 off set screwdriver at the harwarde store and that was the key for me.

Thanks for sharing. Everything was just as you described. Although, I was careful to notice the placement of the “red”, “white” and “black” wires. Mine were different colors, so I noticed the placement as you worked with them. Thanks again.

Holl sh this is a massive work, just to change a batterie. My batterie died after 6y so i go to replace. Ty for that Video that Help me so much!
