The JCD381 from j5create is a dual HDMI mini dock for your laptop which gives you two USB 3.0 ports, one ethernet port, and two HDMI ports in one small dock. It connects to your PC via a single USB-C port. Keep in mind, this dock will only work with the latest USB-C 3.1 ports on your PC - check with the PC manufacturer to confirm which ports you have.

This dock also includes a USB-C power port - if your PC is powered via USB-C, you can plug the power cord into this port and save yourself another port on your PC while still getting power. The included HDMI ports support 4K resolution but only on one port - 1080p is supported by both for simultaneous use.

i am on a mac and when i was downloading the driver i didn't follow the correct steps? when it asked to go into the security and privacy and click on open anyway. I did not do that because i didn't read it before i started messing with it.any way i can get back into the settings somehow and change it so my computer will allow access?

I have a Thunderbird connector on my Laptop. Does this device work with it ? From what I read Thunderbird is an advanced USB C connector and usually works on USB C, but I have no idea what is the difference between USB C 3.0 and USB C 3.1. Thanks.

Just noticed that one of the HDMI ports is 4k and both of my monitors are only 1080p. The 4K port won’t work with the regular HDMI cord from my laptop to the monitor. Is this normal?

My HP Laptop says it has 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only) usb ports will that work with j5 Create?

Why do I have to install a driver? plus for a safety reasons my laptop/firm won't allow me to download, it says access denied. any ideas?

Does this mini-dock require DisplayLink drivers? How about Linux support?

I can attest this is a piece of junk for any Mac users. First, you have to download the drivers, install them, etc. After that, the product keeps crashing and you have to change the plug to see if it works. It suddenly stops working for no particular reason. I hate it soo much. Just suck it up and buy the more expensive docking stations because this is terrible.
